Scan/US version 8 is compatible with Windows XP (32-bit), Vista and Windows 7 (32-bit or 64-bit). Scan/US also requires Microsoft Excel - Excel 2003 (Service Pack 3), Excel 2007 or Excel 2010.

Current Scan/US Subscription users can request a pre-release version of the upcoming, completely new & revised edition of Scan/US.  The new edition promises to change the landscape of the market mapping industry, just like the original Scan/US program. Some highlights of Scan/US version 8 include:

• Better looking maps and better map print capabilities.
• Use your own icons and logos as symbols for representing locations.
• Load detailed streets into maps as large as 100 miles.
• In Windows 7 or Vista, export map images into huge sizes: as large as 46"x34" at 300dpi for large format output.
• Report generation does not depend on Excel macros - no more headaches associated with macro security settings.
• DriveTime analysis module is no longer an additional cost option - it's now built in as a standard feature, saving you $495!
• Site Express can be used for both ring areas and DriveTimes.
• Site Express can be used to generate site reports for thousands of locations in one pass!
• Easily export your data analysis into Excel with the new "export data" feature.
• Use the newest Excel file formats for creating files for import into Scan/US: 2007-2010 .xlsx format, as well as the older 97-2003 .xls workbook format.
• Overlay Scan/US map objects onto satellite imagery by using the "locate in Google Earth" feature. Export your rings, drivetime contours, or territory groups and see them overlayed on top of free satellite imagery in Google Earth.
